hey guys, this will be my first post here......

just wanted to thank the op for posting this. i got around to beating factions on tuesday night, and started doing this run when i had time. sofar, i have gotten 8 golds, 7 purples, a brown dye, and 3 warrior tombs in about 15 runs. i went from a 1.k bank to alittle over 10k atm, so again thank you for posting this.

p.s. just wondering y ppl run soj instead of ss on this run? 1 cast of ss kills these guys and it's faster imo.

p.s.s. oh ya, i got a plat. wand too if anyone wants it

I use SS, I don't see the advantage of SoJ in this farm, IMO it's kind of slow..

To solo mobs? that makes no sense. One cast of SS or SoJ will kill one group, while you have to spam spoil victor on each person attacking you.

I haven't been having much luck at all over the last few days casually with these guys. It used to be at least a colour drop every few runes. No i get nothing at all for 20+ runs.

I really want a Plat wand

I use SV+IP to do this farm, and imo is faster than using SS. And you get more drops (more but not better) because of kill one by one

I want a good drop. I'm only getting bad runes and a very bad req.13 Wingbladed Sword

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am using the W/Rt build posted but I can't seem to withstand their attacks. I get their health generally low, but they do too much damage for me to stay alive. Any help/suggestions?

The whole matter of item drops being more likely if you kill each enemy a few seconds apart rather than nuking them all in one go.

Still theoretical... but so far it does seem to work better.

hmm ive just farmed them with the SS build a bit but no gold drops yet, only 1 purple, but i've not given up yet ^^

I didn’t notice anyone else mentioning that you can do this easy and fast with ele too, so I decided to show one build I came up with lately:

Elementalist/Ritualist

Weapons:
+5energy +20% Enchantments caster weapon

+12energy, +30hp +1 Earth magic /20% chance Earth Scroll would be ideal but I guess any + energy focus will be fine too.

Radiant armor is pretty needed but this might work with other armor kinds too I guess, haven’t tried yet though.

Attributes:
Earth Magic ~ 11+4 (headpiece + sup earth)
Energy Storage ~ 6+1 (minor energy storage)
Restoration Magic ~ 12

Vengeful was Khanhei
Vengeful Weapon
Crystal Wave
Teinai’s Crystals
Kinetic Armor
Stoneflesh Aura
Armor of Earth
Earth Attunement

So now you are ready to farm:

Enter the Hard Mode, put on your enchantments starting from Attunement.
After that you go towards (remember to use Vengeful Weapon anytime you need to “recharge” Kinetic armor) the Jade Brotherhood guys and keep on going until you are in a spot like this:

After the jade brotherhood guys have grouped up to your back, start killing them with spells (I usually start with VwK cause it’s the main damage maker after all, so it’s pretty nice that you can use it again as soon as possible)

Remember, you will take damage so I recommend you use VwK everytime it’s possible (after you are in the “killing position”)

The run takes about 1-2mins, depending how tired you are and so on :P

Tried it on my monk. Using SS & Insidious parasite is much much much faster than SOJ.

Got a couple of gold armguards but crappy runes. Will keep trying.

A net's nerf bat just hit this area. Sux too. This was not a get rich quick area, but a great way to work on the wisdom title. You would not get rich here because thanks to hard mode, too many golds drop so only about 3 runes are still worth anything. 99% of the runes here were not worth salvaging but definitely helped on the wisdom title. Now ANET has come along and nerfed once again an area that didn't make you rich, but was fun to help on some stupid titles. I have just cleared 95% of the entire area (I don't just solo the first 3 packs of knights) and instead of 3-4 golds a complete run... in 4 complete runs I got just 2 gold drops. Yesterday it was the usually drop rate, and today nerfed. The best way to lose a great, fun area is to post it here in these forums. Sheesh... you gotta be stupid to post your honey spots here.
